PERSONAL FEEDBACK
Kutná Hora is a lovely city approximately 90 kilometres east of Prague in the Czech Republic and with a population of approximately 20,000 inhabitants. It is easily accessible by both car and train. The journey takes approximately one hour by car and one and a half hours by train (both single trips). Trains depart from Prague's main railway station, (Praha hlavní nádraží). If travelling by car then it is possible to park in the city but my recommendation would be to travel as early as possible, (especially in the peak summer tourist season), to be sure of a parking space.
Kutná Hora is a very pretty and a historically interesting city. The city is known for the Gothic St. Barbara's Church with medieval frescoes and flying buttresses. Also notable is Sedlec Ossuary, a chapel adorned with human skeletons. On the site of a former Cistercian monastery is the Gothic and baroque Cathedral of the Assumption.
The Czech Museum of Silver recalls the city’s silver-mining history with a replica medieval mine.
The city is very easy to visit from Prague either by car or by train. Kutná Hora is a very pretty and historically interesting city and is highly recommended to visit - the Gothic St. Barbara's Church is very impressive.
Located throughout the town, there are many very nice restaurants and coffee shops.
