COMMENTS: In Part I of a "Walk Around the Karlin District" I wrote that there are many, restaurants and cafés to choose from within the district.
One such restaurant, (recommended to me by a friend), is "Café Můj šálek kávy" which is located at Křižíkova 105 in Karlín District (https://www.mujsalekkavy.cz/en/), and I am very pleased that I followed my friend's recommendation. I understand that "Café Můj šálek kávy" translated means "My Cup of Coffee."
The restaurant is very well appointed, relaxed and the staff are very friendly, professional and polite - there were lots of smiles and all staff were very welcoming. I went to the restaurant for breakfast, and wanted to order one of the items on the menu, but not every element. This did not seem to be an issue and I received exactly what I ordered. I actually chose the English Breakfast. The breakfast menu, whilst not extensive, (which I think is a good thing), showed a wide and imaginative choice from: the full English breakfast to Turkish Eggs; to French toast; to stuffed omelette etc. (please see the website for more details). My meal was very well cooked and also very tasty.
The range of coffee and drinks on offer was also very impressive and I ordered a filter coffee: "Colombia Imbachi" which I have never had before and which was very, very nice.
I noted that the Lunch/Dinner menu, whilst incorporating some of the breakfast offerings such as the stuffed omelette, also offered a wide range of very imaginative dishes which will suit the majority of visitors, (please see the website for more details). There are definitely dishes available to suit vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians.
I have no difficulty in highly recommending "Café Můj šálek kávy."
The price of my meal and drinks was between Kč300 - Kč400 or approximately EUR16.
