Spring finally arrives in Prague

Published date Wed, 05/10/2023 - 10:39

Spring arrived in Prague at the beginning of May. When the sun is shining and the streets are filled with people, the cafes and restaurants busy, this is the city of Prague at its best.

Below you will find a selection of photos from around the city centre.

About me

Prague

A warm welcome to you!

I live in Prague and I like to travel.

I travel throughout the year, (mainly Czechia/Czech Republic and Europe), and I have created this site to share the places that I visit and to profile the Czech Republic, beyond the lovely city of Prague, although to be honest there are many entries about Prague and the surrounding area. I have also included some brief histories of the Czech Republic and formerly Czechoslovakia, including some key historical events. These entries are included to provide visitors to my site, with some background to the country and its people. I think that all countries can be understood better based upon the country's history, and the Czech Republic is no exception.

I very much enjoy photography, and try to photograph as much as possible. If you would like to purchase any of the photos that you see on the site then generally photos are available through the site Picfair [https://fishinprague.picfair.com/]. There are photos, in particular those of the Old Jewish Cemetery in Prague and the Prague Spring which are not offered for sale. The latter because clearly the photos are not mine but selected from archive photos of this time in 1968, and the former because I don't think it appropriate to sell photos of a persons final resting place, even though it is difficult to know who rests in which grave given the overall condition of the cemetery.

If you have any feedback or questions that you would like to ask about where I have been, then please do not hesitate to complete the contact form available on the site and I will do my best to help you or to answer your questions.

Thank you.
