Cologne, (Köln) is the largest city of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and possibly the fourth most populous city in Germany with more than 1.1 million inhabitants within the city limits proper.

The city’s medieval Catholic Cologne Cathedral, the Kölner Dom is the third tallest church and tallest cathedral in the world.
